Originally born and raised in the Okanagan, I come from a family of 6. Growing up we led a very active lifestyle – waterskiing, skiing, mountain biking, running, hiking, etc. That love of adrenaline and fitness eventually led me to fighting forest fires in Alaska and Northern BC. I was part of the smokejumper program, parachuting into fires and attacking from the ground. This job put me through University where I graduated with a BSc in Biology and Psychology from UVic.
